Heliodon Demonstration Models

These models have been developed to show how the heliodon works, to teach solar geometry and how various solar responsive design strategies perform, and to show how to design solar devices. The models also illustrate the basic principles of solar design such as the importance of street and building orientation, that each orientation needs a different design, and that trees should be on the east and west but not the south side of a building.

A manual is available that described how to make and use these models.
